Description |
More scenes from the Glossop and District Scouts camping trip to Holland in 1970. They visit a safari park in Arnhem and we see lions, ostriches, giraffes and zebras roaming around. We see the scouts viewing the graves at Oosterbeck War Cemetery. They take a sightseeing boat trip in Amsterdam and in Volendam we see the scouts posing with local people in traditional Dutch costume. At camp we see the boys swimming in a lake, relaxing by the tents and playing a game of football. We see the scouts playing in the water at Lake Ijsselmeer, others relax on the banks of the lake and we see other people water skiing. The scouts join in with a local carnival, they decorate a local lorry in a Glossop scout theme and take part in the procession. Finally the scouts attend a clog making demonstration and afterwards they have fun trying on the clogs. |
