Description |
Houses and streets bedecked with Union Jack bunting with street scenes of Clitheroe high street. In the grounds of Clitheroe castle, a large crowd of spectators watch the pageant which features historical costumes and dancing. The basting of a spit-roasted ox is followed by a Royal visit with a convoy of cars passing large crowds either side of the road. Veteran soldiers march down Clitheroe high street. Scenes from onboard a sailing ship on the river Mersey with views of Liverpool waterfront. Snowy scenes with large snow drifts so deep that it has buried the cars. |
