Description |
Mixed footage in and around the Shaw and Crompton area shot for an educational video. The demolition of the Cape Mill Chimney, a marching band along a shopping street, footage of St. Saviour's Church (including a foundation stone laid by Miss Mary Crompton in 1908). There are shots of statues, the Trinity Church surrounded by trees, the War memorial, the community centre, and the library. There is then footage of the market, including inside a butcher's stall. The film ends with footage from a Lad's and Girl's brigade sports day. |
