Description |
A record of construction activity over a short period at the site of Skelton Grange power station near Leeds. The film includes builders, bricklayers and mechanical diggers at work; shots inside the turbine hall and boiler house; the interior of a cooling tower; the view from the top of one of the chimneys, and the giant stator arriving by rail. There are also scenes of nearby flooding and remedial work to deal with this, plus the construction of a new bridge over the canal. The soundtrack is mainly VO by the filmmaker giving extra information on the film’s content. |
