Description

TUC members take a mini bus ride to the Peterloo Exhibition at The Mechanics Institute (now Workers Museum) in Manchester on 19 July 1989. Close ups of various display items including activist banners, posters and pottery depicting the events of the Peterloo Massacre and a Audio/Visual film recreating the history and protagonists involved,. The second part of the video is a TUC trip to Jodrell Bank on 2 August 1989 with close ups of various displays in the museum and views of the telescope dish and Arboretum picnic area.
