Description

Firefighters for Oldham & Son Ltd (battery manufacturers in Denton) are seen training on Amelie Street in 1942. Views around Denton, including the marketplace, local buses and a Boys' Brigade parade are followed by scenes from an Oldham & Son works outing to London in 1946. The group are seen posing for a photo by the coach, and visiting all the usual tourist attractions in the capital. Hyde fire brigade engines are seen on route to a fire at the Vinery Hat Works, and brief views taken from a moving train conclude.
