Description |
Passengers embark on the QE2 from Southampton to New York and are seen taking part in a lifeboat drill. There are views of rough seas from the front of the ship. The model, Twiggy, and dancer, Tommy Tune, are seen practising their tap dance routine on the deck. In New York, the Chrysler Building is seen. Then there are scenes from Washington DC including The White House, the Washington Monument, Arlington National Cemetery with the Eternal Flame and the graves of John F. Kennedy and Patrick Bouvier Kennedy. Back in New York they visit Chinatown and we see the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge and they sail under the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. There are also scenes at the Rockerfeller Plaza, views of the Empire State Building and the World Trade Center and Times Square at night. Back on board passengers play deck games followed by a children's entertainer being thrown into the ship's pool. |
