Description |
The film begins with shots of Morecambe Volunteers preparing to go to war. A group of women are seen unloading blankets at a collection point outside the Art School and the 5th Kings Own Lancaster Territorial Army mobilise at Bowerham Barracks before leaving for Castle Station. Concludes with footage of the Mayor and Mayoress standing on the platform bidding farewell to soldiers who are seen leaning out of their railway carriages, waving handkerchiefs at their family and friends. |
