Description |
Scenes of building work at the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral - the exterior is surrounded by scaffolding, and stonemasons are seen carving details into stone blocks. On the roof, blocks are lowered into place with cranes, and there views across to the Roman Catholic Cathedral. There are still photographs showing earlier stages of construction - including a visit by King George VI and Queen Elizabeth and the damage done to the Anglican Cathedral after bombing during the war. General views of stone and wooden carvings, altars and flags inside the Cathedral. |
