Description |
This film begins with the residents of North Manchester preparing and decorating their banners, flags, umbrellas, clothes and float for the Manchester Day Parade. On the day of the parade, 2 June 2013, the residents take a bus journey into Manchester and congregate on Liverpool Street where along with other participents they await the parade to start. The parade begins with the residents of Harpurhey, Collyhurst, Monsall, Blackley, Moston and Cheetham Hill marching under the banner of 'Proud of where we live'. They parade on Deansgate, Albert Square, Oxford Road and finnally back on Deansgate with large crowds of spectators cheering them on. The film ends with the marchers back on Liverpool street and putting away their banners and floats in a warehouse. |
