Description |
Remembrance parade in a Burnley park featuring war veterans and serving members of the forces. After shots of newspaper headlines from July and August 1945, veterans and army cadets march through the park as a military band plays. A drumhead altar is made before a clergyman leads prayers. After shots of the assembled crowd, the parade resumes and proceeds past the mayor. The film ends with brief footage of the mayor laying a wreath at the war memorial outside St. Peter's Church. |
