Description

Scenes from a wedding including the bridal party posing for photographs outside the church. The bride (Rita) and the groom exit the church, they have confetti thrown on them before leaving in the wedding car. December 11th 1965 - The Holcombe Hunt gathers on a country lane then departs from the Rams Head in Tarleton with the hounds. The film also includes footage from January 1966 which features scenes of the Holcombe Hunt at Croston and at Bishops Arms in Bispham. Footage of David Nixon is filmed off of the television. Scenes from Mavis Roocroft's wedding. The guests arrive at the church, soon followed by the bride and her father. The bride and groom exit the church and have photographs taken. The film cuts to policemen with police dogs in Wrightington taking part in a search for a missing woman. In the next scene we see a sign post for Carr House Lane (in Wigan), people gather for a hunt. Shots of Holcombe Hunt at Bank Hall mansion in Bretherton, Lancashire in February 1966 including shots of the bodies of dead foxes being hung from a tree. The film ends with scenes from Colin Jackson's wedding at Christ Church, Douglas-in-Parbold in March 1966.
