Description

The Garner's holiday in Newton Stewart, South West Scotland, spring 1968. They visit Port William and the Isle of Whithorn and explore the Galloway Forest Park where they climb to Murray's Monument and see Clatterinshaws Dam, Loch Trool and Merrick mountain. They also visit the Gatehouse of Fleet, Kirkcudbright, Girvan, Mull of Galloway, West Tarbet, Port Logan, Portpatrick and Stranraer. On the way home they stop briefly in the Lake District. In June, back in Wilmslow, firemen are seen dealing with a fire at Len Johnson's fish and chip shop.
