Description |
A film of Edward, Prince of Wales, visiting Widnes on November 24th, 1932. The local MP (J. Roland Robinson) is seen strolling towards the camera with his wife, before shots of HRH arriving by car in the rain-swept Market area of Widnes, being greeted by the Mayor. Veterans of the 'South African' (Boer) War line up along the street all wearing their medals and there is an assembled group of girl guides all in their uniforms. The film ends with close ups of some members of the crowd. |
