Description

Outside Manchester Town Hall, a rally following the Democracy Day march to protest against the cuts in government spending. Dick Pickering introduces the Leader of Manchester City Council, Graham Stringer, who addresses the 20,000 people estimated to be on the march. He is followed by Tony Lloyd, MP for Stretford, who speaks for 10 minutes, followed by another local MP, and then by Ken Cootes, Leader of the Council in Edinburgh and Rob Whitworth from NUT representing the Education Unions.
