Description |
A film made in millennium year by Year 6 primary school pupils from Bamford in Derbyshire. The village lies in the picturesque Peak District, close to the Ladybower, Derwent and Howden reservoirs. The children take the viewer around the village as they interview their headteacher, the sub-postmaster, the local GP, a farmer, a dentist, and a milk lady, amongst others, showing us a thriving community whose residents are generally content with where they live. The perennial problem of lack of facilities for young people inevitably arises, though, and we see activities organised at the Bamford Institute to try and address this problem. |
