Description |
Assorted footage featuring members of the Hodkinson family. Opens with a visit to Holker Hall in Cumbria, with views of the house and grounds. At Cleveleys, a big crowd turns out to watch Concorde flying low along the coast. Dorothy is shown with her granddaughters enjoying the rides at Blackpool Pleasure Beach and there are also shots of the sea front and Illuminations. Comedian Frank Carson arrives by helicopter at the Rossall School fete in Fleetwood, which also features a parachute demonstration. At Fleetwood, a steamer departs for the Isle of Man and a lifeboat is launched. Also features scenes in Scarborough, Knaresborough and Gretna Green. |
