Description |
Scenes from a scout camp on Fylde Coast. Crowds gather to watch the arrival of Prince Albert of York (later King George VI) where he is given a tour of the camp. The film cuts to a crowded beach where many people swim in the sea. Back at the scout camp, the chef poses for the camera. The scouts wash and change their clothes and one man plays the bagpipes. After brief shots of a race, men can be seen packing to leave the camp. The men wait to board double-decker buses. In a garden, one man relaxes in a hammock while the others sit and drink tea. A group of women play some tennis. Crowds gather outside Bloomfield Rd for the Blackpool and Doncaster Rovers football match. In the next scene we see a packed out stadium watching the match. Back at home, a woman takes her dogs for a walk. Later, the group pose for the camera outside a hotel. The film ends with scenic shots of mountains and a lake. |
