Description |
The girls of Grange Park School, St Helens prepare for their holiday. They are shown maps by Miss Jennings, receive and return permission letters, paint maps and make booklets. Their kit is inspected and they leave by bus, waved off by parents. A refreshment stop at the Kopper Kettle on the journey, before arriving at Wayfarers Lodge, Langdale Estate, Great Langdale. They walk around the estate and into Elterwater village, take a walk to Grasmere and Wordsworth's Cottage, on to Rydal Mount and Loughrigg Terrace, ending at Langdale Church. Street scenes in Ambleside and Keswick are followed by views from the homeward journey. |
