Description

Scenes from the ceremonial cutting of the first sod for the Liverpool to Wallasey Tunnel, January 1966 are followed by views of construction work on the tunnel. Men are seen laying concrete, and a tunnelling machine is seen in operation as concrete blocks are manoeuvred into place. Scenes as the two ends of the tunnel meet in the middle conclude.
