Description

Scenes from the Royal Navy’s annual dive down to the wreck of the battleship ‘Royal Oak’, sunk by a U-boat in Scapa Flow in 1939. Using underwater lights, the divers investigate the exterior of the wreck, with a few shots inside the ship; dinner plates are visible, and one diver holds up the remains of a shoe. Finally, the White Ensign flag is attached to the ship’s stern and unfurled underwater.
