Description |
The film opens with general views of White Nancy and the Pott Shrigley area, including St. Christopher's Church. We see a group of people enjoying a trip to the area, and there are rural scenes, and scenes of the waterfall at Rainow. We see boats on the canal, and people playing bowls and the spectators at a bowling green. We see scenes from an event where there is a parade of veteran cars, races for children and donkey rides. There follow scenes from a cricket match. We then see a parade in Macclesfield, there are dance troupes, floats, people in fancy dress and a band. We see the Macclesfield Guardettes, the Droylsden Carnival Princess, NRCO Queen Elaine, Flixton Carnival Queen Diane and the cast of Oklahoma from the Majestic Theatre amongst the floats. We then see a family playing with their dog in the garden, an elderly man doing some gardening, a group of men playing dominoes and a group of people show-jumping. |
