Description

Activities of the 3rd Barrow in Furness (Grammar School) Scout Troop. Youth hostelling in the Lake District at October half term and at New Year. The 1st year scouts spend a weekend at Great Tower, practising map reading, campfire building and putting up tents. The Spring Bank Holiday camp is at White Moss Common - the boys enjoy swimming and snorkelling in the lake. The longest trip is summer camp on the Isle of Arran, where the scouts experience record breaking temperatures. They swim in the sea, and walk up a number of mountains. The film ends with a montage of photographs from the Arran trip.
