Description |
Film of the opening of the 1000th house built in the Astley Park site of the Central Lancashire Development Corporation (now known as English Partnerships). Sir Frank Pearson, Chairman of the Central Lancashire Development Corporation, makes a speech, as does Simon Towneley JP, the Lord Lieutenant of Lancashire who officially opens the house. People are seen inspecting the house and wandering around the estate, before repairing to a reception and buffet where Sir Frank Pearson is presented with a portrait of H.M. the Queen. |
