Rushes from Pendle Movie Makers Millennium 2000 project showing church services, social gatherings around the Pendle area and rehearsals for a concert entitled ' Into the Millennium with Music and Mirth'.

Part One:
Shots include a New Year's Eve shared meal at Trinity Baptist Church followed by a torchlit procession, New Year's day bell ringing at St Bartholomew's in Colne and a ecumenical service at the Central Methodists Church in Nelson. Continues with a service held at St Bartholomew's, a choir singing and the congregation during prayers. The Mayor of Colne plants a Millennium Yew tree in the grounds of St Bartholomew's cemetery and people are seen in costumes during a dress rehearsal for a Millennium concert.

Part Two:
Footage shows interior and exterior shots of the consecration of St John the Evangelist Church in Nelson- led by the Bishop of Blackburn, Alan David Chesters and other members of the clergy, a church service with readings and prayers and members of the congregation having tea after the service. Includes more shots of people rehearsing for Millennium concert.
