Description |
Various stages of construction of the children's zoo at Belle Vue, from foundations to completion. There are scenes of the foundations being laid out, enclosures being made with concrete and the zoo train being painted. After completion, there are views of the aviary, cattle and pig enclosure, and the film ends with a 'mermaid' combing her hair as a publicity stunt. The children's zoo opened in 1955. |
