Description

The film opens with scenes from the 1965 Ramboree, an international scout camp at Chatsworth Park. We see the scouts putting up their tents and starting camp fires. There is a flag raising ceremony and a religious ceremony. Scout VIPs arrive in a horse drawn carriage and meet and greet with the scouts. We see the scouts preparing food, sitting around a camp fire, taking part in sporting activities and standing for inspection. There are also scenes from the Bakewell Show where the scouts take part in a parade of international scouts. There are scenes from Hosting Week. The scouts take part in an event with the mayor and civic dignitaries in a Market Hall. We then see the scouts on various daytrips. They visit Manchester United Football Ground and Belle Vue. We also see them on a visit to the Peak District. There are shots of moving scenery filmed from the coach window, and we see the scouts visit Derwent Reservoir.
