Description

Farming and family scenes from the Heyes Family of Mossborough Hall Farm in Rainford, St. Helens. We see scenes from the farm, tractors and other farm machinery, vegetable harvesting and farm animals. We see a horse giving birth to her foal. The family wave Mr and Mrs Heyes off on a train and we then see Mrs Heyes outside Buckingham Palace and laughing and chatting with the policemen outside 10 Downing Street as she poses for the camera. We then see her again on a boat leaving Dover, and then arriving on the continent. We see scenes of Cologne from a moving vehicle. Mr and Mrs Heyes go sightseeing in the city and then they visit a farm and inspect the cattle. They take a trip down the Rhine and we see them in a small town, Mrs Heyes points out the bullet holes in the walls of a building. We see family events, a wedding, a Golden Wedding Anniversary party and an 80th Birthday party. We see the family pulling crackers, carving the turkey and eating their Christmas dinner. There are family scenes, they go camping and have picnics and visit the Rainford Carnival 29th August 1970. We see a piano smashing competition at a county fair, and Mr Heyes fishing with his sons, and there are scenes of horse riding. A lady poses with a hunting rifle and mounted stags head.
