Description |
The pupils and teachers of St. Matthew's school go on a day trip to York. They can be seen visiting the Shambles and York Minster followed by a boat ride. At the school sports day, the children take part in various races such as egg and spoon and three-legged race. In the next scene, we see a procession followed by the crowning of the new Rose Queen by Miss Summer. Afterwards, there is maypole dancing, a magician performing tricks and live music. During a visit to Chester Zoo, the children see a variety of animals including lions and polar bears. On 'Rose Queen's Day', children and parents attend a garden fete and look around the various stalls. Speeches are given followed by the crowning of the new Rose Queen, Cheryl Wendrenski. |
