Description

The excavation of a bronze age site, probably at Mosley Heights Stone Circle on the moors near Mereclough, Burnley. After brief shots of newspaper headlines, there is footage of the dig itself, with archaeologists using trowels, brushes and measuring tape as a few visitors look on. Away from the site, the finds are examined. These include bone fragments, arrowheads, coins, an urn and what look like stone hammer heads.
