Description

Shot of the entrance to a mill as women workers are coming out; a crowd gathers as people try to get in the camera shot - children, and men and boys with bicycles. The gates of the factory are closed; various scenes of people walking past; a man in a straw hat directs the crowd into a procession past the camera; children play in front of the gates; a horse and cart go by. A shot looking down the street with a factory in the distance. A shot of another mill; the camera is on the inside watching the workers enter the gate; they are mostly women in shawls or overalls; a horse and cart come through the gate; the gates are closing and two boys rush to get out.
