Unedited footage relating to accession no. 1983 The Tripe Colony. Features an interview with Mr Kevin Gallagher, former resident of 63 Wilbourne Street; Miles Platting. He provides a brief history of the Tripe Colony and describes life on the estate prior to the Compulsory Purchase Order issued by Manchester City Council in 1993. Includes shots of Mr Gallagher standing in the street next to his old house - which is seen boarded up and awaiting demolition.

A promotional film looking at the planning and construction of the 'Centenary Bridge', a bridge across the Manchester Ship Canal at Trafford Park. It describes the decision to do major road-building work in the area, and the various phases of planning and construction of the roads and the bridge itself. At the end of the film, the bridge is shown in operation, and the Queen and Prince Phillip are seen officially opening it.
