Passenger steam trains on the Lancaster to Carlilse line then a girl with her parents on a narrow gauge miniature railway. The little girl climbs down a ladder from a barn then rides her bicycle before carrying a cat in the garden. The girl on the beach climbing the rocks with her mother then playing with a doll before riding bicycles with her mother. The film ends with the girl attempting to do headstands and doing star-jumps.

THE BOYS' BRIGADE

Footage of the activities of the 72nd Boys' Brigade troop of the Manchester Battalion. Scenes from a camping holiday at Penrhynside in 1931, are followed by views of a Boys' Brigade Church Procession through the streets of Edinburgh in the same year. The 1932 camp at Rhyl is seen, with the boys on a trip to Rhuddlan Castle and playing games on site. The film ends with newsreel footage from the 1933 Boys' Brigade Jubilee celebrations in Glasgow - Prince George is in attendance and is seen watching the 30,000 participants march past and salute.

Features a man shaving by a stream, a close up shot of a record spinning on a gramophone and views of a waterfall. A social event at Caldy Golf Club is followed by views of Chester, Gretna Green and a motorcycle hill climb near Mold. The MacDonald family are seen on a caravan holiday in 1932 and sightseeing in Edinburgh. Irvine MacDonald is seen in his home-made speedboat on the River Dee, and there are scenes from a carnival at Aberdovey, a swimming and beauty contest at an open air pool in Hoylake and John and Charlotte's boating excursion on the Norfolk Broads.
 
 
 
[SCARBOROUGH AND AUSTRALIA]

In Scarborough, people surf and swim in the sea at the beach. Aboard a ship, passengers dance and fool around for the camera. On a farm, a man uses a rotavator in a field. A group of men stand by a car drinking before pushing the car back. At a crowded beach, the group sunbathe. In a family garden, a couple pose with their dogs. Alf, a man on a farm pulls funny faces for the camera before spending time with his family. The film ends with Aboriginal Australians performing traditional dances.
