| Film made by the Manchester and Salford Blind Aid Society (Est 1900) to promote the facilities and benefits which they offer the blind and partially sighted. Includes shots of Isabel M Heywood - the Society's Founder - and the blind entering the Society's headquarters at 30 Tonman Street, Manchester. Blind people are seen in a carpentry workshop, performing a concert and playing bar billiards. There is also footage from Southport where the Society organised holidays at the Godfrey Ermen Memorial Home which it built in 1904. Continues with footage of partially sighted people playing skittles and the blind playing cricket with an audible ball in Heaton Park Manchester. Blind women are seen skipping. The Society's three homes on Eccles Old Road, Pendleton, Salford - homes for the elderly - are featured. Blind people are seen reading braille and communicating through the manual alphabet as well as doing work and convalescing in the sick bay. The film ends with an appeal for gifts. The commentary is of a forthright nature using descriptive terms of the period.
