The family take a boat trip on a lake and visit the seaside where the boys play on the beach, on a playground, ride a miniature railway, enjoy candy floss and go on a boating lake. They ride a pony and a donkey on the beach and play mini golf. The reel ends with a small plane at an airfield. A group of ladies are seen sightseeing at Bowness, splashing in a pond, playing rounders and visiting a ruined castle. People disembarking from a ferry at Douglas, with shots of horse-drawn trams on the sea front, water park rides and youths waiting for a ferry to Fleetwood. Boys and girls running races in a field, followed by netball, novelty foot races and views of the fun fair at New Brighton. Gymnastics and callisthenics are then seen in the school yard at Trinity Secondary Modern School in Preston. A party of holidaymakers are seen walking from their bus up a fell side. Scenes of feeding seagulls on a beach and queuing for oysters from a vendor. Views of children shovelling snow and throwing snowballs in the school yard and workmen demolishing a wall with a pneumatic drill. Views from sports day conclude.

Scouts swimming in the sea on the Isle of Man and enjoying various attractions at a local fairground. Excerpts from camp life and views of scouts rowing in a fishing harbour. Scenes from countryside walks and tree-felling around Brock Mill and Longridge are followed by a war-time salvage drive. A series of episodic clips follows, featuring snowball fights, hiking expeditions, a visit to Windermere railway station, performances of acrobatic exercises and a demonstration of semaphore.

A young man plays football in a farmyard. The film then cuts to a woman out walking in the countryside. The film cuts to a group of young adults leaving a building and walking through Liverpool city centre. On board a Mersey ferry, we see shots of the waterfront. In the next scene a group of people play tennis together. A couple walk through a rose garden together. The film ends with the group hillwalking in the Lake District.

Members of Warrington Cine Society can be seen boarding coach to Blackpool. Once in Blackpool, the group can be seen walking down a busy promenade. They spend time at the amusement park and go on various rides such as the dodgem cars and big dipper. The film ends with shots of Blackpool illuminations.

A behind the scenes look at Warrington Cine Club and how their amateur films are made. We see the crew set up camera angles and shoot scenes in various locations including very close to railway tracks. A title card reads 'Comfort is the motto', we then see the cameraman lying on pillows in a garden in order to get the right shot. The film ends with colour material on the location of 'Tempus Fugitives', director and cameraman set up scenes and film action in garden of house with the use of fast motion effect.
