Reg and John Hindley can be seen practising jumps at Stone Edge, a small farm behind Moorlands, the family home at Blacko, near Nelson. The horses are named as Nancy, Countess and Macroom. Their uncle Archie Haighton can be seen teaching and demonstrating. Further scenes of Jack Hance (a famous instructor) demonstrating dressage, probably at his establishment in Hampshire.

Scenes from the Pickles Bakery van drivers' day out, the Inghamite Chapel Sunday School outing to Brimham Rocks and model boat racing at Fleetwood. Closes with shots of biplanes flying in formation, taking off and landing at an air show.

We see the family in a small wooden boat and children swim and splash each other in the water. Adults have fun near parked cars, some play instruments and others dance, some are wearing fancy dress. A young boy and girl smoke cigarettes, and we see them playing with a lawn roller in the garden. Some children play a game of cards.

The film opens with shots of a girl in the garden with a dog, she wraps a bandage around its paw. A horse looks over a stable door. A man is seen 'water-skiing' on a makeshift board pulled by a motor boat. Shots of a family in a rowing boat on a lake. Various pet dogs, one is held just over the water by its owner. Shots of animals in the garden including a tortoise, hedgehog, dog, puppy and kittens. A boy handles an owl in an enclosure and a girl feeds two owls by hand. Scenes at the zoo include a visit by a group of girl guides, a keeper feeding fish to the pelicans, a chimpanzee trained to put his arm around visitors, and various animals in their enclosures.

The bride and groom are seen leaving church and cutting the wedding cake. The guests mingle at an outdoor reception and the bride and groom depart. We see shots of a woman hand feeding a fox in an enclosure and carrying the fox in a field. Children and adults have fun sledging down a snowy embankment. A woman leads a pony into a courtyard. We see jockeys riding their horses over brush fences in field. A woman places a bet with a bookmaker. We see shots of harvested fields, a group sitting on a picnic rug near a cliff top and people in the sea messing about with a canoe. We see a large group of children squashed on to a see saw and boys wrestling, boxing and riding bikes in the garden.

Includes interior shots of the print works; people selling papers on the streets and paperboys delivering newspapers to people's homes. Views of the asbestos mine in Amiandos in Cyprus followed by women and children posing for the camera and a church under construction in Amiandos town. On board a ocean liner we approach Malta, then views of Malta taken from the upper town followed by market and street scenes. After leaving Malta on board a liner we have views of Calais harbour and approaching the cliffs of Dover.
 
 
 
FARMING IN KENYA

Bulldozing an antheap in Kenya followed by a gas powered traction engine ploughing a field before planting maize with an oxen pulled seed drill. After Oxen going to the water trough we have a mother and child then a small naked boy crying at the camera. A woman carrying firewood then a game of Polo with parts shot in slow motion. Two women carrying large bales of grass for thatching is followed by a 14 oxen team pulling a plough.
 
 
 
[VULCAN LOCOMOTIVES ON THE MOVE, 'OPERATION' MOVE', AND OTHER HEAVY HAULAGE SCENES]

Heavy haulage scenes, this film opens with black and white footage from the 1920s. We see a Vulcan locomotive being transported by road. The driver manoeuvres the lorry through narrow shopping streets and crowds gather to watch. This is followed by scenes from 'Operation Move' in the 1960s. Huge industrial parts are transported by road, accompanied by a police escort. As with the scenes from the 1920s, there are large crowds of onlookers following the slow progress of the vehicle. The heavy haulage vehicle and its entourage eventually arrive at ICI Rocksavage Works. The rest of the film consists of other scenes of heavy haulage, and scenes demonstrating how extremely large items are transported. There are also shots of Widnes Foundry.
