A nursery school outing to St Annes. Workers from Whitehead's cotton mill in Rawstenstall are seen loading their children on to a bus and waving them goodbye. On arrival at the beach, the children and nursery staff are seen building sand castles, paddling in the sea and taking an afternoon nap. The film concludes with scenes of the children being met by their mothers when they arrive home.

A moored boat is tossed in heavy seas, and there is footage of waves crashing onto rocks. In a different location, there are scenes of lakes and a waterfall. The family assemble on the front steps, having their picture taken with twin babies. In Blackpool, women sunbathe, feed chickens and there is a view of the Tower from the Central Pier. The Mayor and Lord Brabazon of Tara arrive to inspect the vehicles before they set off on a tour of the city.
