Scenes at London Zoo showing children having rides on the back of an elephant and a camel, and shots of seals and bears in enclosures. People are seen on Hoylake coast raising sails on a yacht called 'Janet' and launching the boat 'Repose'. Family members are seen aboard 'Repose' as a woman rings a bell. Includes a Royal visit to Blackpool by the Prince of Wales (Edward VIII) which shows him giving a speech and shaking hands with people. Continues with scenes from an RAF airshow, with various aircraft flying overhead and concludes with a sequence at Gisburn during a horse race in 1927.
 
 
 
TO CONSTANTINOPLE IN RMSP 'ARAGUAYA' 1927

The Parkinson's take a cruise on the RMSP Araguaya through the Dardanelles and towards the Black Sea. Includes footage of the town of Tangier from aboard the ship and various street scenes showing Moroccans along the street and amongst buidlings. A short sequence shows the ships Araguaya and P&O Ranchi docked in Tangier harbour. Passengers aboard the Araguaya particpate in a horse racing game and play badminton. members of the party make trips to the Ancient Palace of Knossos, the Tower of the Winds in Athens and around Constantinople.The travelogue continues via Chanack, Cape Helles and stopping at Tunis, where street traders are seen selling their wares in around the souk market. Concludes with passengers playing acquatic sports on the ship.

Domestic scenes of the Parkinson family showing young girl (possibly Pam?) playing with toy car and with other children and pet dogs in the back garden of the family home. Includes sequences of a magician performing tricks for the camera, as he makes children disappear into a toy rabbit with his cloak. There are shots of Abersoch sea front with boats sailing close to the shore and people crowding around an aeroplane as it taxis along the beach. A couple in bathing costumes throw a hoop back and forth to each other. Concludes with shots of a waterfall in the Welsh mountains.

Scenes show New York skyline from ship approaching the harbour, unidentiified newly wedded couple (friends of the family) and their wedding party along from church and a couple (possibly Cyril Parkinson and wife) sitting on the side of a car and rowing a boat on a lake. Includes shots of Montmorency Falls and people waving farewell to a cruise ship (seen from deck) as it leaves Montreal down the St Lawrence River. Continues with shots of icebergs in the gulf, the Parkinson's and friends posing for the camera on deck, and the ship arriving at Liverpool docks. Concludes with adults and children having afternoon tea at the family home in Lancashire.

Varied compilation including a group of men visiting the Silverdale countryside, shots of dirt track racing in Blackpool and 'The Zedders' (a group of friends with dogs) getting out of a car and having a drink outdoors. Two women are seen stood in a back garden of a cottage clearing the pond of weeds and walking around lawn with dogs. A group of men and women link hands as they skate on frozen Barrow Park Lake. The Parkinson's visit the ruins of Ludlow Castle and two women sit in a open top car combing their hair and packing away flasks. The reel continues with shots of the changing of the guard outside Buckingham Palace.

Decorated cars and lorries, horse-drawn floats, brass and kazoo bands and people in fancy dress make their way through Sale town centre in the local carnival, and the Carnival Queen lays a wreath on the war memorial, with a film cameraman at the roadside recording the event.

African children digging in a field and making bonfires of the vegetation taken from the fields. Men working with oxen ploughing the earth and pulling carts then the men cutting wooden stakes and putting them into bundles. Men removing rocks from a cart then a man breaking a large rock with a hammer The film ends with a carpenter planing wood followed by a herd of oxen crossing a river.
