Continues with black and white scenes of the launch ceremony with crowds gathered to hear speeches by a number of dignitaries, a brass band playing and members of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution crew workers stood in boat hut. Includes a speech by Maryport's oldest inhabitant Mr T Carey. Further footage (possibly shot in Newcastle-upon-Tyne region) shows car mechanics changing the wheel of a car on roadside, a carnival procession along a street, children playing on swings at Swan Hunter's recreation ground and various beach scenes.
