Brief shots of wooden gears turning followed by boys offering food, a camel carrying wood, Arab villagers and a laden donkey. A camel train is followed by women carrying baskets on their heads. In Libya we see the unusual rock formations, a jumping hare and a camel train trekking through a sandstorm. The camels are fed and watered and we see a Desert Fox and an Oryx in the Libyan desert

Footage of the Greenwood family in a number of different locations - Mrs Greenwood and her two daughters on the beach at Blackpool, paddling in the sea and with the donkeys. The family are seen outside their house in Nelson, in the cobbled streets and in a park. A street procession is seen, as well as a wedding on a rainy day with the happy couple leaving the church and being covered with confetti. Also brief views of Knaresborough in Yorkshire and a huge ferris wheel being constructed in Blackpool.
 
 
 
[BOATS ON THE RIVER DEE]

Different boats are seen on the River Dee, with views shot from a moving boat and of people on deck. A group of fashionably dressed women are seen at Chester, and there are views of a very busy River Dee. Brief countryside scenes and the old Eaton Hall Estate are followed by a group of adults larking around on the river bank, having a picnic and playing cricket.

Scenes showing an animated toy show for the Randall children, toy puppets including an elephant, bear and rabbit are seen dancing in front of the camera- as the camera tilts up to show the children and their mother operating them. Includes (mock up) aerial shots of a Croydon airport model with a plane flying overhead. Ends with a young boy sat on a chair laughing in front of the camera.

The film opens with scenes from a zoo, there are shots of various animals and birds. This is followed by views of the Houses of Parliament. The film concludes with scenes from what looks like an amateur dramatic performance by members of the Blake family.

Scenes from Italy. There are shots of Lake Como which is surrounded by mountains. We see boats on the lake and women washing clothes in the water. There are restaurants around the lake. There are also scenes from Venice, where we see all the famous sights. People feed pigeons in St. Mark's Square. There are also shots of people wearing various uniforms, such as sailors, soldiers and policemen.

Footage of a trip to Littledale (?). Opens with footage of a road, shot from a moving car, before a car is seen arriving in a field. Shots of countryside are interspersed with a variety of scenes involving a man, two women and a girl. They are seen walking and running in fields and taking refreshments, there is footage of the girl paddling and swimming in a river and of a woman making a pot of tea. A car is seen driving away from the camera and the group is filmed taking refreshments by the car before a final shot of a motor cycle.

Miscellaneous footage featuring the Want family on holidays and days out. Three boys are seen playing with a toy rifle in the countryside, and the family are seen at a fairground, on a pier, out in the countryside and on the beach. A visit to Port Sunlight is shown, and on one journey, Mr Want is seen changing a burst tyre on the car. There are scenes at New Brighton open-air swimming pool, a girl models a fur coat in a garden, and the film ends with footage from a wedding - guests arriving at the church, and the couple leaving after the ceremony.

Scenes of Southport flower show, with vistors looking around the exhibits; Southport motor rally, including footage of cars, participants and onlookers, also a rally parade, probably along the seafront; winter scenes of curling, hockey and skating on frozen ponds at Wrightington; carnival scenes (probably Wigan) and parade including participants in costume, horse-drawn floats and motor vehicles, at one point the mayor is seen giving a speech from his car.
 
 
 
[LAUNCH OF RNLI 'JOSEPH BRAITHWAITE', PROCESSION AND BEACH SCENES]

The reel begins with footage of a group visit to a waterfall, possibly High Force near Middleton-in-Teesdale and a couple walking in the grounds of a stately home. These sequences are interrupted by short colour shots of the 'Joseph Braithwaite' lifeboat being launched on the 27th September 1934 in Maryport. Continues with black and white scenes of the launch ceremony with crowds gathered to hear speeches by a number of dignitaries, a brass band playing and members of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution crew workers stood in boat hut. Includes a speech by Maryport's oldest inhabitant Mr T Carey. Further footage (possibly shot in Newcastle-upon-Tyne region) shows car mechanics changing the wheel of a car on roadside, a carnival procession along a street, children playing on swings at Swan Hunter's recreation ground and various beach scenes. There are shots of children playing with hockey sticks on a street and a group of unidentified young girls wearing dresses pose on rocks and paddle in the sea.
 
 
 
PRESTON AND DISTRICT STREET SCENES

Scenes of policemen directing traffic on several Preston streets in 1927 and 1937, designed to show how traffic has increased over the ten years. There are general views of Preston town centre, including the town hall, Harris Museum and market. Views of people getting off a tram (possibly outside Deepdale) and of a rugby match are followed by an extended section in Avenham Park, looking at the various attractions therein.
 
 
 
[MARY AND SHIRLIE IN THE GARDEN]

A variety of children are seen playing in the garden of Moorlands, the Hindley family home. A baby is sat playing with a newspaper and a couple of older children are playing with tennis racquets. Two little girls, Mary and Shirlie Cornes can be seen sitting on a rug with a woman, possibly their mother, and are joined by an older boy, Derek. Final shots of the children in their winter coats and hats.

Film of Sylvia and Derek Higginson as young children playing, separately, in their garden. They are seen with various toys, including a pedal car and Sylvia is seen playing with her friend Joy. Also features footage of Bournemouth experimental trolley bus service. Further scenes include Mr Preston polishing his motor car; a kitten playing with a dead mouse in the garden and various shots of steam locomotives.

Film of the Higginson family on a beach. They are seen standing beside, and then wading in, the sea. There is also footage of various adults running and then jumping into a pile of sand, this is also seen in slow motion. The family is also seen in a garden with various friends and relatives. Derek Higginson is seen riding a tricycle, which he falls off, and people relax under an awning. There are close ups of various people and groups of people. 'The Irish Mail', a steam train is also featured and Derek Higginson is seen playing with a model train.
