St Helens Centenary Celebrations plus holiday and leisure scenes featuring members of the Henderson family. After opening shots of the decorated exterior of St Helens town hall, a street parade makes its way through the town, featuring a variety of carnival floats. At Sherdley Park, hot air balloons take off and parachutists come in to land. The rest of the reel features family holiday and leisure scenes including countryside footage, trips to Chatsworth and Conwy, and the boys preparing for hallowe'en and bonfire night. The boys and their dog play with a rugby ball in a snow-covered park before the film ends with the family going sledging. Scenes at the entrance of the Kingsway tunnel between Liverpool and Wallasey during its construction. A conveyor belt is seen removing earth from the excavations, and concrete sections to line the walls are loaded onto a lorry and taken into the tunnel. Record of the 1968 Grimsargh 'Field Day' and of activities on the family farm. Field Day footage features a procession through the streets of the village, with many children wearing fancy dress, followed by speeches, presentations and the crowning of the carnival queen at the village green. Several sprint and sack races are shown and there is a glimpse of various fete stalls. At the farm, hay is turned and baled in the fields using a tractor and mechanised equipment. Some of these sequences are shown in reverse. Ends with an elderly lady posing for the camera and sitting on a garden bench.

Scenes from Moulton Carnival showing crowds watching carnival floats and various dance troops parading along village streets on an overcast day. Includes brief shots of men dressed in crow costumes dancing the Moulton Crow Dance as part of the procession. Crowds are later seen gathered in a field for the village fete as a dance troupe perform a routine, families ride on fairground attractions and friends pose for the camera. Ends with brief shots of two cats playing in a backgarden.

Mrs Wintrobe and her two daughters on a railway platform, all wearing rain bonnets. The station is St Erth. They are then seen on the train, Mrs Wintrobe reading the Daily Mirror - 'Felicity Green on the Fashion Scene'. They walk about a town, probably Truro. We then see them on another station platform, and back in St Ives (?) strolling about. There are views of the harbour and town. The films ends on a close up of the front page of the News of the World.
