Opens with footage of a man, two women and a girl in a garden. Some footage shot through a gap in a wall and some closer up. They are seen playing with a dog. The film continues with footage of the Tower Circus elephants being bathed in the sea at Blackpool. A crowd watches as the elephant's keeper controls them whilst riding one. Members of the crowd pet the elephants before they are seen leaving the beach. This is followed by footage from Stanley Park in Blackpool. Two girls are seen walking through the park and relaxing by a bowling green. The film ends with footage of Stanley Park lake, thick with boats, shot from a moving boat. The film begins with members of the O'Grady family playing in a garden. Two men and two children have a game of ring-a-ring-a-roses. further scenes include a family holiday at Port St. Mary in the Isle of Man. They are seen greeting a man off a steam train and having their photograph taken sitting on the steps of a guest house. Concludes with brief footage of some women gutting fish on the dockside; rough seas and a sermon taking place on the beach.

Stretford Pageant is seen in 1931 and 1932 - in 1932 the theme of the pageant was the Commonwealth, and each float represented a different country. There is a boy's football match at the Manchester Schools' Sports Day, and pupils from Princess Road School in Stretford are seen in the countryside on an outing.
