A short film that begins with a wife discovering her husbands adult magazine and binning it. The husband returns home and rescues the mag only for his wife to throw it away again. To fool his wife he places the magazine inside the cover of a car mag only for this to be discovered again by the now irate wife.

An old woman desperate for a cigarette resorts to rolling her own with tea and cauliflower leaves. Then the woman uses her husbands football match ticket as a cigarette paper much to the annoyance of her husband. The film ends with the prize-winning film makers with their trophy.

Mr and Mrs Fisher go on a Caribbean holiday. The film begins with views from the aeroplane coming in to land on one of the islands, and the next scenes are from Antigua where we see Mrs Fisher eating a sugar cane. There are scenes from the deck of a Cunard cruise ship and scenes from Venezuela of a cable car above Caracas. In Antigua the Fishers stay in a beachside apartment. We see Mr Fisher snorkelling and catching fish. He poses with a big shell that he has found, and a fish. We see a fisherman with his catch of big lobsters, and we see Mrs Fisher with a lizard.

In St Andrews Church hall in Cleveleys, churchgoers say goodbye to Mr. Hodson after his farewell service. In the next scene we see a sponsored walk taking place to raise money for Christian Aid Week. The chairman of the councillor Mrs. Cass can be seen helping out. Members of the youth club hold a fund-raising car wash. This year the Mothers Union deanery festival was held in St Paul's Church North Shore. It was a very windy day and the women struggled to carry the banners in the wind. In the next scene, members of the Ladies Guild wait for the coach which will take them to North Wales for their annual day trip. On Civic Sunday, the church service was attended by Chairman of the Council - Councillor Hibbert and his wife. In June, the Thornton-Cleveleys Gala was held which included the St Andrews Church Sunday School Queen. In separate scenes we see the procession of witnesses - where all the Churches of Thornton-Cleveleys join together and take part in the procession. Next we see scenes from the wedding of Wendy Claridge to Ian Pritchard. Friends and family look on as the happy couple have photographs taken outside St Andrews church. In the next scene we see churchgoers arriving at the church for a special service to commemorate the Battle of Britain. After the service a procession is held, led by the band followed by members of uniformed organisations such as scouts and girl guides. The film ends with shots of the Concorde flying over Blackpool.

Scenes for the Burnage High School Educational Cruise 1972. We see a group of school boys getting on an aeroplane, and then there are views from the window as the plane takes off. We then see the boys getting off the plane in Venice, followed by views of the cruise ship in port. There are scenes of the boys on deck throughout the film. They swim in a pool, play games and there is a church service too. There are views of the passing scenery. The boys visit Athens, Crete, Malta, Tangier and Lisbon and we see them out and about enjoying the sights. The film ends with the boys getting off the coach back in Manchester.

[BOROUGH OF BACUP 90TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS 1972 - EXHIBITION, PROCESSION, GAMES]

To celebrate Bacup's 90th anniversary, an exhibition is held to display the history of Bacup including the companies that have operated there. People can be seen looking around the different stalls and photographs on show. A procession led by a brass band makes its way down the street, followed by girl guides, brownies, boy scouts and clergymen. Later some games are held including some men balancing buckets of water on bicycles. Outside a marquee, people gather with their pets including dogs, cats, rabbits and ponies.
