We see him machining and producing intricate components, and look closely at the functioning railway, from the complex control system to the details on the rolling stock.

A look at the work of pig farmer and sculptor Ted Roocroft. The film includes many of his sculptures on display in the Undercroft Gallery at Manchester Polytechnic, where he also taught. There are scenes of him working on a sculpture at his home in Cheshire, and the reel ends with a woman and child looking at one of his works in a gallery.

Filmed at Walmsley's Atlas Forge in Bolton, and Barnshaw Smithy in Mobberley, this is a record of the manufacture of puddle, or wrought, iron, a dwindling industry even back in 1973. The film looks at the history of iron production, with some use of stills and diagrams, and the metal’s applications in industry and engineering, before scenes shot in the heat and smoke of the forge, and in the smithy, where a blacksmith is shoeing a horse.

The film opens with scenes of cattle grazing in field and then we see close up shots of wasps and of a butterfly on a flower. We then see scenes from Llandudno. The Great Orme Tramway takes people to the top where we see people relaxing in the sun. One man lets a sheep eat crisps off his bare chest. There are close up shots of a collection of Toby jugs on a mantelpiece. We then see various animals in a zoo including birds of prey, and there is a display of falconry. The film ends with scenes from home. We see a young boy in the living room with a cat, and then an older boy with a dog.

This is a promotional film for the SLAM system demonstrating its capabilities in attacking targets on the surface and in the air, it also shows how it 'complements the torpedo'. The film looks at the system's operation in a submarine at sea, training facilities at Vickers as well as land trials. The bride enters the church and then we see her leaving the church with the groom. The newlyweds and their guests pose for photographs and then the bride and groom get in the car to be driven away.
