The second section of the film is from Crufts, with general views of the exterior and interior of Olympia in London, Afghan hounds being shown, and the winners of the various breeds in the main arena.

Footage from an outdoor dog show in Leicester, concentrating on the Afghan Hound, although other breeds are shown. The rest of the film features Afghan Hounds being shown at a number of indoor and outdoor dog shows. During the second dog show, some outhouses in the background catch on fire and are engulfed in flames. The fire brigade are seen arriving and trying to put it out.

Instructional film aimed at student dentists demonstrating how to make a gold filling for a tooth. A pattern is taken from the cavity and from this is a mould is made. The mould is placed in a centrifuge and molten gold is spun into it. The filling is then removed from the mould, cleaned and fitted into the patient's tooth.

Instructional film aimed at student dental nurses demonstrating the cleaning, flushing and lubricating of a dental handpiece. After cleaning the handpiece is reassembled and tested. A drill holder is also tested, dismantled in order to replace worn parts, cleaned and then rebuilt.

Film aimed at student dentists explaining the use of anaesthesia in the conservation and extraction of teeth. The nervous system in the mouth and jaw is shown and the correct method of loading the anaesthetic cartridge into the syringe is demonstrated. Members of Salford Lads' Club are seen arriving by coach at the camp site in Aberystwyth. They are seen playing football and cricket, on an obstacle course and having a bonfire for the Silver Jubilee. The lads go swimming in the local river, some take part in a football match in Aberystwyth, while others watch a passing cycle race. Inspection back at camp prior to departure, although a group stay behind to clear up the site. Brief views of boys going into the club's building in Ordsall conclude.
 
 
 
BURNLEY CELEBRATES THE QUEEN'S SILVER JUBILEE

Celebrations in Burnley to mark the Queen's Silver Jubilee. The film includes a procession of youth groups and floats, and later a formal military parade, passing by dignitaries outside the Town Hall. A military event in a Burnley park features a marching band, parachutists, a motorcycle display team, stunts, gymnastics, and a mock battle. Visitors try out an assault course and children inspect a tripod-mounted gun. There is extensive footage of an open-air theatrical performance in the grounds of Towneley Park. Also includes footage of a shopping precinct in which cheerleaders and a military band perform. RUFFORD BRANCH

The film, with commentary by Gordon Winsland, considers the origins and route of the Rufford Branch of the Leeds-Liverpool Canal and the River Douglas, running from Wigan to the sea, noting the changes to the area over the years. Locations along the route including Burscough, Ormskirk, Rufford Old Hall, Holmeswood and Crossens Pumping Stations, Martin Mere wildlife reserve, Tarleton and Becconsall. The film also includes old black and white photos, and interviews with Lockeeper Ian Collier, resident of Top Locks cottage Mrs McGrath, and Mrs Ascroft of Ferry House.
