Celebrations in Burnley to mark the Queen's Silver Jubilee. The film includes a procession of youth groups and floats, and later a formal military parade, passing by dignitaries outside the Town Hall. A military event in a Burnley park features a marching band, parachutists, a motorcycle display team, stunts, gymnastics, and a mock battle. Visitors try out an assault course and children inspect a tripod-mounted gun. There is extensive footage of an open-air theatrical performance in the grounds of Towneley Park. Also includes footage of a shopping precinct in which cheerleaders and a military band perform.
