[FAMILY IN THE GARDEN; BLACKPOOL;

Mother and baby in the garden, later joined by other family members and friends. Some adults and young children play around with some golf clubs on the grass. Later the family go for a walk in the countryside followed by a visit to Blackpool and the swimming pool. The group then attend the horse racing. Back in the garden they take turns to practice their putting skills followed by tea in the garden. The film ends with a visit to Clovelly in Devon.
 
 
 
[ROBIN HOOD'S BAY; GRETNA GREEN]

A visit to Robin Hood's Bay where the group spend time on the beach and look around the village. Later they travel to Gretna Green in Scotland - lots of beautiful scenery. Some fishermen catch fish with nets followed by lovely shots of the parish including the Famous Blacksmiths Shop.

Family in the garden before the parents look around the shops. Later a group of people stand on the front doorstep posing and joking around for the camera. The next scenes show the family on holiday at a caravan park, they visit the beach where father and son play some football. A signpost points to Chatsworth. The group enjoy a picnic before looking around Chatsworth House. The group arrive at Prestatyn Holiday Camp via car in the rain. A crowd of people gather around a swimming pool to watch a live show. Next is a trip to Alton Towers where they look around the gardens. In the next section of the reel we see wedding guests waiting outside a church and greet the Bride when she arrives, later the happy couple pose for photographs outside the church. The wedding party then head to the reception, inside the newlyweds can be seen cutting the wedding cake. The next scene takes place in Oulton Park motor racing circuit, shots of various racing cars competing in the race. The reels ends with scenes of another wedding. Guests and members of the wedding party arrive, soon followed by the bride. After the ceremony the married couple pose for photographs outside the church before having confetti thrown on them. The guests arrive at the reception and chat to each other, shots of the wedding cake inside the reception.

Workers at the Wigan Coal and Iron Company prepare a chimney for demolition. They put dynamite into holes they have drilled into the base of the chimney. Using a plunger detonator, a worker sets off the dynamite and the chimney comes down. Crowds who had gathered to watch the chimney collapse, can be seen walking through what remains of the chimney.

Bi planes fly in formation then a man demonstrates fishing with a thrown net. [RAMBLING IN THE COUNTRYSIDE; MILL INTERIORS]

Views of the countryside followed by a group of men walking by a waterfall and families hiking down a country lane. A man and then a woman in a mill walking between looms decorated with bunting. Views of the village of Slaidburn near Clitheroe including the war memorial, a stone bridge and the pub 'Hark to Bounty'. Hiking in the hills of Cumbria, walking the dog, petting horses and a sleeping pig . A marching military brass band herald a Royal visit on the crowded Manchester streets. We see the Royal car pass through a large group of cheering spectators.
 
 
 
[CHURCH AND CARNIVAL PARADES]

A Whit Walk with children, women, and clergymen with religious banners walking down a country lane followed by the clergy led procession entering the churchyard. Dancing majorettes with pom poms begin the carnival parade they are joined by decorated floats, fancy dressed riders on horseback and tractors bedecked in bunting.

A wedding party can be seen arriving at a church. After the ceremony, they pose for photographs. In the next scene a couple visit the beach where they sit in the sun and swim in the sea.
 
 
 
[INSIDE HEYWOOD’S PLANT, REDDISH]

A look around the factory floor of S.H. Heywood & Co, a crane manufacturer in Reddish. There is heavy machinery in operation, flame and steam; a worker moving between large vats, filmed from above, gives a sense of scale.
 
 
 
[WORKERS AT HEYWOOD’S PLANT, REDDISH]

Several employees of S.H.Heywood & Co , crane manufacturers, are seen hard at work. In the factory yard, men fill wheelbarrows with rubble; they then throw lumps of metal into vats on railway trailers which are taken into the works interior. A crane transfers scrap metal from a railway wagon into the works yard, and on the factory floor, a filled vat is lowered into position.

Mother and baby return home and are greeted by friends and family in the garden in Bury. The film jumps to when the baby is slightly bigger, he plays in the garden with family members and the dogs. The group visit the park where they feed the ducks and swans. Back in the garden, some women do the gardening while the baby eats grapes and plays with his toys.

A variety of brief scenes from the Guy family. We first see the family at home in the garden, they pose for the camera holding a baby and play with a dog and her puppies. We see them sat by a lake and then there are zoo scenes where we see various animals and people riding elephants. There is a wedding, we see the newlyweds and their guests pose for photographs after the event. This is followed by scenes from a trip to the beach. A group of adults and children are filmed playing in the sea, they all have fun playing with a lilo and a beach ball. The large family group are then seen sitting down to a picnic. Another wedding follows, and again wie see the bride and groom along with other members of the wedding party posing for photographs. The film ends with more brief scenes. The family enjoy a picnic in the countryside. They are filmed driving along in their car. There are brief scenes of a lake and horse race and then finally a lady in the garden with a dog.
