Looks at the craft of horn working at the Abbey Hornworks in Kendal. After shots of the town itself, the film concentrates on the process of creating shoehorns and cutlery. A variety of tools and machines are employed in the sawing, heating, sanding and polishing of shoehorns, and the drilling of stag antlers to make cutlery handles.
