Part One: Scenes show an Eid Millennium Party organised by the Faisalabad Association with children singing and reading on stage, people gathered for the launch of Pendle Oral History Project- celebrating 50 years of Pakistanis in Pendle and for a public consultation meeting to discuss a village bypass. Mayoral events include a visit to 100 year-old Ivy Meyers at Walverdale Home for the Elderly and greeting guests at the Mayor's Civic Charit Dinner Dance. Local Elections around Pendle show exterior shots of polling stations and people counting voting slips inside the local leisure centre. Part Two: Continues with Mayor's election at the Annual Meeting of Pendle Council, as councillors give speeches and offer proposals. People prepare food and set up bric-a-brac stalls for the Mayoress's Appel Fund Garden Party. Ends with leaders of Asian communities, Pakistani representatives and MPs gathered at the Civic Theatre in Nelson to mark Pakistan Independence Day celebrations. | |||

Pendle Youth Theatre rehearse for a production of the musical 'Annie', and a member of the production staff is interviewed about training drama students. Includes shots of dressing rooms with costumes on racks, storage of props and tools in the theatre workshop. Ends with a Rotary Charter Club Dinner with members giving speeches and presenting awards at Audmond House, Foulridge. Part two: A mural, featuring close up shots of Colne community figures and local scenes, is assembled and mounted on exterior wall of Hanbury's supermarket. Scenes show participants cutting hair and giving manicures during a Nelson and Colne College hair and beauty competition, mothers' with children during a sponsored toddle walk and shots of a Patchwork exhibition at St Luke's Church in Brierfield village. Continues with the musicians and choirs performing inside the leisure centre and a potter molding clay on a wheel during Pendle's first Mid-Summer Fair. Part three: Includes repeat shots of potter moulding clay, stalls, a man carving wood and a environmental display campaign focusing on the Pendle area.
