The compilation reel begins in 1939 when the group visit Dyserth and Rhyl. The group can be seen sat outside their coach having a picnic together. Later they go walking along the promenade followed by dinner in the hotel dining room. Title card reads '1939 Lord Derby takes the salute, after the Parish Church ceremony' - he is seen with other dignitaries outside a church. In 1939 during the annual hot pot supper, the group enjoy plenty of food and drink together. The film cuts to scenes of the Society's first outing after the war to Llangollen. The group can be seen sat on the coach before stopping for refreshments. Once in Llangollen, the group do some sightseeing. The film cuts to the group visiting Whalley Abbey. After looking around the ruins, they have a picnic by the river. Some people go paddling and swimming in the river. The film ends with brief shots of the group's trip to Knaresborough. | |||

In a sunny garden, the wedding group stands around and chats, and poses for photographs. Finally, the couple depart by car, the groom carrying a tin helmet under his arm. | |||
