Evelyn Hersh's party with guests drinking champagne and eating. Staff are seen celebrating at a works Christmas gathering at Hart's warehouse. Shows friends and employees laughing, kissing, dancing and singing, while some of the female staff members display their stockings for the camera. There is a spoof role reversal seduction scene showing Freda and William Moss dressed in men and women's clothing. Brief shots of polar bears at Belle Vue Zoo pit being enticed by a dangling teddy bear.

At the Bring and Buy Sale, mothers and children look around the different stalls. A group of children perform traditional dancing for the crowd. In the next section of the film, we see scenes from Walton Preparatory School Sports Day. The children take part in various races such as sack races, running, egg and spoon, three legged races and hanging handkerchiefs on a washing line. Later the children sit with their mothers and have some ice cream. The film cuts to scenes from St George's Home Garden Fete. Children can be seen buying sweets from a stall. Men take part in various stall games. A group of young boys perform different stretches and exercise routines for the crowd. A woman sits holding a crystal ball as a fortune teller reads her future.

Scenes from an office. A woman works at a typewriter with a commercial map, with pins in, behind her on the wall. There are typical office scenes, we see people sat typing, folding letters and putting them in envelopes and using the telephone.

Scenes from trips to Blackpool and Llandudno. A man winds up a car and a woman holds up a sign saying 'Look Out Blackpool. We're Coming'. We see a party of people arriving in Blackpool, they all buy ice creams and walk along the seafront. There are views of Blackpool Tower, the seafront and trams and then we see the group on a rollercoaster. A title reads 'and again Blackpool 1946'. A couple wave goodbye as they leave home and are then seen on the seafront. A title reads 'new paint for Blackpool Tower'. We then see workmen at the top of the tower painting and then there is a set up scene where the workmen pretend to fight over a telescope so they can spy on a couple on the beach. There are views from the top of the tower. A lady paddles in the sea and then there are scenes from the boating pool. People ride around in boats while people look on while seated in deckchairs around the pool. A title reads 'and yet again 1948'. We see trams and scenery shot from the window of a moving tram, and then there are shots inside the tram. A family play on the beach. We then see the pier where there are people fishing. The next title reads 'F. H. A. Llandulas 1948'. A large group of people enjoy the scenery in Llandudno, we see the seafront and the Great Orme Tramway'
 
 
 
[CHRISTMAS, GARDEN AND MODEL BOATS]

Christmas festivities with the King family of St Anne's involve balloons and streamers, candles on the cake and pulling Christmas crackers. The son of the family plays in the garden with bicycle, cricket bat and tennis racquet, while family members lounge on the swing seat. Finally, children sail model boats on the seafront.
 
 
 
WEST COAST HOLIDAY - MORECAMBE

Scenes in Morecambe - people sat on the promenade, the Winter Gardens, and children building sandcastles on the beach. Includes brief shots of an oyster stall and 'jumbo ride'. Continues with fairground scenes, an outdoor show at Heysham Head and a motor-barge trip from Hest Bank to Carnforth. Returns to Morecambe with a bowling match in Happy Mount Park and the sun setting across the bay.

Scenes at Sherborne Girls boarding school in Dorset. Massed gym on the sports field (each house in a different coloured airtex blouse) including displays of dancing, gymnastics, swimming and diving. General views of the school grounds. Rosemary and Valerie occassionally feature. Finally a game of cricket, including girls playing - probably the school team against the father's XI.
 
 
 
[WHIT WALK TO HOLY TRINITY CHURCH, BURNLEY]

A whit walk in Burnley proceeds on a cobbled street past the Empress Cinema, up Accrington Road and turns into the Holy Trinity Church. The procession features a brass band, banners, rose queens, choirboys and clergy, sea cadets and people of all ages. AROUND SKIPTON

There is footage of an historic corner of the town showing the Pinfold (where stray horses and cattle used to be impounded) and a plaque marking the place from where John Wesley preached in 1764. The film ends with a shot of a traditional handloom weaver at work. The building and launch of a barge onto the Leeds and Liverpool Canal at Finsley Gate, Burnley. After opening shots of the preparation of timber, large pieces of wood are cut at a saw mill before workers are seen beside the canal building the boat. Ends with the barge being launched into the canal and workers dismantling the launch ramp. A compilation of five society weddings, in the first we see the guests arrive including a small girl in furs. The bride arrives in a Rolls Royce car and poses for photos. The bride and groom depart the church and get into the car. The 2nd wedding shows the wedding party arriving on a wet day and the happy couple posing for photos. At the third wedding the wedding party are photographed laughing, the car being decorated and the couple leaving under a hail of confetti. The wedding guests walk up a red carpet to the church then the bride and groom pose for photos and get into the wedding car. The final wedding is a high society affair with the wedding party walking past the camera in a large courtyard before the happy couple depart in a Rolls Royce
